Leave M6 junction 40, take first left at roundabout onto A66 west, continue on A66 for approx 30 miles, bypassing Keswick & Cockermouth.

Take left at roundabout sign posted A595 Whitehaven.

Continue on A595 for approx 7 miles, bypassing Lillyhall Ind Estate, Distington, & Parton.

Arrive at Whitehaven, do not take first right for town centre, continue on A595 for approx 1 mile, with Hills BP petrol station on right, then Sunnyhill Pub on left.

At next major set of lights take sharp right sign posted town centre (Inkermann Terrace).

At Esso petrol station turn left into Coach Road, bear right passing `Superdec` on right.

Passing St Beghs Church on right & Whitehaven R.L.F.C on left, continue on Coach Road until end of road.

Turn left then sharp right up the hill taking the Ginns to Kells Road (Haig mining museum).

At top of hill at St Marys Church turn right onto High Road Kells.

Continue on High Road for approx 0.6 mile take next right after Ravenhill Road/Lane. Kells A.R.L.F.C. clubhouse immediately behind garages.

Via A1 and Scotch Corner, follow A66 (West), until M6 junction 40 roundabout at Penrith.
